From 20-22 March we held our 10th annual RiverView Conference in Budapest, showcasing the best of river cruise to our delegates. There were three days of conference and ship tours, including organised activities, all brought together by our UK & Ireland team. The goal was to immerse everyone fully into the fast-growing river cruise holiday experience.
River cruises now offer more choice than ever before, and with 10 new ships set to launch this year and an even greater range of itineraries.
Our RiverView event, kicked off with a full-day’s conference hosted by UK & Ireland MD, Andy Harmer, and Editor-in-Chief of Travel Weekly, Lucy Huxley, with inspiring guest speakers and panellists from several cruise lines. We also ran interactive panel sessions on sustainability, and on how to boost sales, with our river cruise leaders panel offering special insights into onboard features and innovations. Our trade fair gave delegates and cruise lines the opportunity to network to further improve business sales and to meet Visit Hungary local sponsors.
Ellen Bettridge, CEO Uniworld Cruises
On to days two and three where delegates were offered the opportunity to visit up to ten river cruise ships to familiarise themselves with the restaurants, facilities and services offered onboard to help them inform and inspire their customers.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and to our speakers, panellists and sponsors for your time and work to support our 10th anniversary RiverView Cruise Conference.
As a cruise industry trade body, our role is not only to represent our cruise line members, but also to support our 54,000 travel agent members. Throughout the year we offer training, seminars, ship tours and conferences to our members to help improve their knowledge and support their sales goals.
